This striking plant has pale purple flowers rising above the gold-coloured leaves streaked with blue-green. The colour is brought out when given morning sun which deepens in the afternoon shade. It’s unique appearance and appreciation of sunlight contributed to its win as Hosta of the Year in 2001.
