Plant Description
Although these plants generally give off an oniony smell, they are generally no longer used as a spice or food source though the bulbs and leaves were once used for cooking. The plants consist of grass-like leaves and bell-shaped pink flowers grouped in clusters. The stems bend sharply over at the top so the flowers seem to nod. Grows commonly in rocky soil or on glades and bluff edges.
