Campanula rotundifolia is a perennial flowering plant that features long-stalked, rounded to heart-shaped basal leaves which are usually slightly toothed. The leaves also feature prominent hydathodes, and tend to wither early. The plant blooms flowers that have pale to mid violet petals that number from four to seven, although five petals are most common. Some plants may grow pale pink or white flowers. Campanula rotundifolia seedlings are tiny, but established plants can be as tall as many types of grass.
